Princesses of a King

Saturday evening I had the privilege to go to the conference center for the General Young Women broadcast of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. What a blessed experience. I felt such a strong manifestation of the spirit. No one can tell me that this church isn't true, because I know it for my self. I cannot deny the spirit that was felt that night. With each of the speakers I felt an increased desire to be better, to change and improve my life. I was able to recognize some things in my life that need improvement. What a gift to be able to make changes that enhance our lives. It truly is a blessing from Heaven.

Weekend Retreat
This weekend my family and I set out for Southern UT to take in some new scenery. On our journey we first made our way to St. George to tour the Brigham Young summer home. From there we went to see the sight of the Mountain Meadows Massacre. This sight was very solemn. The air hangs heavy in that valley. The feelings run deep. It was a very poignant experience. After our two nights stay in Cedar City we traveled up through Ephraim to visit my Grandpa and Grandma Findlay. They are looking quite well. It was lovely to see them. This was my first time seeing them since my mission and they look great! So thus ends our journey, it was a wonderful trip full of history and relaxation.

Salt Lake City
Today was beautiful! We went to downtown Salt Lake City as a family and enjoyed the day as tourists. It was so relaxing to just spend the day with my family. There were so many lovely sights to behold. I love living in Utah. It's got so many beauties in nature and in architecture. The spirit here is amazing!
Employment at Last!

Last week I was wandering online to apply for jobs. This was Monday March 10th. Within the first couple of days, both companies I applied for called me. So I was pretty excited about having such a fast response. I applied for two teller jobs, one at Zions Bank Corp. and the other at Jordan Credit Union. I was flattered by the quick response, but very quickly I ran into a dilemma, both companies offered me the job. Remember the expression "too much of a good thing", well this was me today. I went through a bit of a panic to decide which one would be the better offer. I fretted for a bit and then calmly weighed my options. I finally was able to organize my thoughts and make a decision. So, I have called back Zions Bank to offer my thanks for my interview and I've decided to take the job at Jordan Credit Union. So, I am now the newest full-time teller for JCU. Wish me luck!

New Beginnings
I've been home from my mission for about a week. It feels good to be back, though I've had some difficulty adjusting. But that is to be expected right? It's the RM syndrome. However, it is passing quickly and I am getting slowly assimilated back into regular society again.
