Dear Stake BBQ Boy:

It was such a pleasure meeting you this week at our annual stake bbq activity. What added more to my delight was the prospect of a date this week with you at your request. I waited with great anticipation for the phone call Wednesday evening to confirm the plans for the Thursday evening date, for which you suggested.
You can imagine my dismay when Wednesday evening drew into late evening and bedtime without hearing a word. I sent you a text message to make sure you were okay and that you had my correct number.
The message I received was not anything that I would have expected. You said you decided you were interested in someone else and didn't think it was a good idea to go out with me. I find it odd that this decision happened so quickly, but I suppose you have your reasons.
I wish you well in your future dating endeavors.

Sincerely,
BBQ Girl

A Tribute to Alison Part II

This weekend my dear friend Alison Lord tied the knot and became Alison Harris. She was radiant. I have never seen a more happy couple. I am sad that she will not be in my ward anymore, however, I am excited that she will be living closer to me. This morning she left for her glorious honeymoon in Mexico. Steve is one lucky man. He's very good for her. I couldn't be more pleased.

5K's

Tara and I after completing the Boys and Girls Club 5K April 24, 2010

In the last two weeks I have run two 5K races. I feel I must do as many of these as I can find so as to keep myself in shape for the Ragnar Relay next year. I love running. I love the camaraderie and encouragement from others it brings. I love the hype, the t-shirts, the free stuff, the adrenaline, ALL of it! It rocks!

The 5K done today was in Provo, UT. My running partners were Caryn Allen and Tammy Munson. Caryn was a bit restless and ran ahead, which is totally okay. Tammy and I kept a good pace for each other. She would run ahead then walk a little, and I would run ahead. (I'm slow, but steady) I finished in just over 43 minutes. I was thrilled! This is the fastest yet! I still have a long way to go to be at my desired speed, but with training, and persistence, speed will come.

Tara ran the half marathon today. She is amazing! I am so impressed with that girl!
